I began this journey by finding a handwritten and illustrated, coptic binding tutorial online. This was just another craft in a long line of others I've picked up over the years, but this one was different.
I've loved paper and pens as long as I can remember, so getting to make something completely of paper and end up with a functional item was the best thing I could ever imagine making. I could even put it all together and curl up on the couch to sew.
I've come a long way with my skills over the last several years and a couple thousand books later. I work with simple tools, only recently updating to a small guillotine cutter. I use all kinds of papers, fabrics, canvas panels, recycled chip board and lots of paste. I still save every scrap that's left after cutting.
I usually work in batches and update my shop when I have several ready.
I also have another Etsy shop for odd stickers and cards: ShadowandMoss.
